Twitter continues its news headline day, in talks to buy Bottlenose

Twitter is in talks to buy stealth personalization start up Bottlenose for an unknown amount. According to sources close to the talks they are currently negotiating acquisition terms. Bottlenose which brags as “the smartest way to personalize and filter Twitter.” Twitter, which is currently having a field day of news, could finally fill in the spot of a way to filterize tweets and allow users to find the important tweets and tweets they want to see allot easier than they can now. Twitter announced a partnership with DataShift yesterday at the Data 2.0 conference in San Fransisco in order to do pretty much the same thing that Bottlenose currently does and has been doing for more than a year now. Bottlenose is currently a web app that looks similar to the old Twitter, the view can be personalized as well though. This acquisition is probably an attempt to stop any legal problems before they start by Twitter.
