Google may have a high level mole at Twitter
Google could have payed as much as 150$ in stock to retain key product employees Sundar Pichai and Neal Mohan. Both were offered the chief product role at Twitter earlier this year (Jack Dorsey was eventually given the position). Google reportedly offered Pichai 50 million and Mohan 100 million, respectively, to stay at Google. Were those two stock grants are higher than what was previously uncovered the model is the same. We have been told Google has a group of people prepared to make counter offers, sometimes overnight, but the fact that Google is making offers before Facebook and Twitter even make the offer. Several sources close to Twitter have told us that there may be someone close to Twitters most confidential information, like who they are interviewing for critical spots, and leaking that information directly to Google. Google may have acted on this information to quickly and according to these sources close to Twitter, the people at Twitter are pretty pissed about it. Twitter has declined to comment on the matter and Google is yet to respond despite multiple attempts.
